Go Learn Issue

Incident Report for Gladstone Software

Postmortem

On 23 September 2026, some customers experienced intermittent issues accessing GoLearn, including HTTP 502 errors, failed page loads, or periods where the service could not be accessed.

This was caused by a configuration problem within the shared service routing layer following maintenance activity. As a result, some requests were not routed correctly, causing intermittent access failures across GoLearn services. The underlying GoLearn application services remained healthy, but the routing issue affected how users were able to reach them.

Fitronics engineering teams identified the cause and deployed an updated configuration to remove the outdated routing references. Service was confirmed as restored at 09:48 BST, with continued monitoring carried out following restoration.

The incident began at approximately 02:20 BST based on monitoring alerts. It was resolved once the corrected configuration was deployed.

As part of the follow-up, the change and release process for this area is being reviewed. This includes additional checks around shared service dependencies before maintenance changes are completed, to reduce the risk of a similar issue happening again.
